About Texas Real Estate Voices

We founded TexasRealEstateVoices.com to provide real estate professionals in Texas a blogging platform that would be easy to use and maintain, affordable, and most importantly, effective in enhancing the relationships you have with “people you know” and creating relationships with “people you don’t know.”

After looking for blog providers that “proclaimed” to provide the above for my clients, I found that most of these blog providers were technology people” trying to teach real estate professionals what to do, having never sold a home. So I started blogs for my clients myself, but the time involved in setting up those blogs and maintaining the software and hosting was time my clients should have been using propsecting or other money producing activites.

Keep an eye on Texasrealestatevoices.com, a Revolution is Coming.

Jason Blackburn

Jason Blackburn

Raised by entrepreneurs in the real estate and marketing industries, I first started selling new homes when I was 19 years old. During that time I rose to the top of a national sales team and became a company sales trainer. I was then presented with a VP position with a small start up with a specialized mortgage product. We partnered with the top Realtors, mortgage professionals, and builders to promote our product. I traveled the country training real estate professionals on effective sales and marketing techniques of the top producers, learning as much as I taught.

After my company was bought out, I left to pursue new opportunities, taking the knowledge and experience gained to coach and train other professionals. And what did I learn? There are no shortcuts. Just hard work and proper planning. Many gurus that I met with were about gimmicks, promoting outdated and out of touch techniques, there only to sell their books and CDs.

Realizing that professionals needed new, effective, and affordable prospecting activities, I turned to viral marketing, utilizing social networking and blogs to enhance my clients lead generation activities since 80% of people use the Internet to search for real estate related information, but only 7% used the Internet to choose their Realtor.

My philosophy of success is simple. Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance. If you incorporate blogging into your plan properly, you can enhance your relationships with those you know and those you don’t.

Rex Blackburn

Rex BlackburnRex Blackburn, TEAM leader for The Blackburn Group, is a Realtor for Bradfield Properties in San Antonio, Texas. As a top-producing agent, Rex has learned a few things about being successful, and many of those lessons came the hard way. Knowing that the Internet was going to be the future of real estate marketing, Rex invested thousands of dollars into a top-notch traditional website sold to him by the “technology” experts. Rex did what most agents did, he listened and he bought, because he was trusting the technology experts. After all, who else could he turn to.

What he got was fantastic online brochure that had yet to convert a single lead to a client as a direct result of that website. So Rex wanted something better, and asked his website provider about adding a blog. Sure, they said, we can do one for you, but that would be another thousand dollar investment. Unsure about spending more money on something he knew nothing about, Rex turned to his consultant for advice. His consultant suggested setting up a separate blog, San Antonio Housing Blog, linking the two, promoting the real estate blogsite, and creating a synergy between the two. The result: higher search engine rankings for both sites, more traffic for the older site, and leads that have turned into listings and home buyers. The cost: less than $300 per year. The consultant that turned his Internet presence around: Jason Blackburn, his son.

Rex still practices real estate today, and will continue to lead his TEAM to the top, but he will be utilizing his 30 years of experience as a leader, trainer, coach, and of course a top-producing agent to help Texas Real Estate Voices to be as successful for you as it has been for him. Even if he has to work with his son.
